ÚLTIMAS NOTICIAS:
digicomphoto printed with UV cured ink (UV) on rigid format, dibond, forex, foam and acrylic.
UV inks are "frozen" when exposed to ultraviolet light. This premise provides several advantages over solvent-based inks. Because the UV ink is cured rather than dried, the concern about the possible drying of the head (without the periodical firing drops of ink in the nozzles to keep them moist), decreases significantly.
Unlike systems in solvent-based printing, no need to install an exhaust fan. Although UV curable inks are more environmentally friendly than solvent inks should be used, stored and disposed of properly.
The result is that the nozzles clog less, reduces the banding, you do not need much maintenance and the printer is operating longer. UV inks work well with a variety of media, including some media unsuitable for printing with solvent inks.
RIGID FORMAT PRINTING
Advantages of UV inks
  • Increased color saturation: UV curing ink provides higher color saturation with less ink than solvent. This occurs because the ink is cured to a solid mass and provides a more opaque than its counterpart on solvent inks. This provides an effect of greater depth in the images. Also, dot gain is controlled UV curing ink immediately with a strong light source making it impossible for the ink to penetrate the support and spread. This provides good print quality on a range of media more broadly.
  • Fast curing: curing of UV inks is performed by polymerization and not by evaporation (which is the case with solvent inks). The inks can be cured in a time of 1 to 3 seconds, thus requiring less downtime on the source of curing light. There is no need for pre or post heating surfaces, or incorporated dryers, and you do not need heat in the curing process.
  • Reduced maintenance: thanks to the fast curing of UV inks and improved maintenance routines, manual maintenance functions have been significantly reduced. The on-off routines occupy only a few minutes and operator intervention is minimal during the work process.
  • Reduced environmental impact: UV curable inks produce virtually no emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOC) versus solvent inks. Besides UV inks just do not generate odor and toxic chemicals.
  • Choose from a wide range of rigid substrates. UV printing ensures long-lasting long enough. Ideal for solo exhibitions, interiors, exhibitions, etc..
